I am going on 27 and I have the chose between Braces (standard metal) or Invisaligns. Since either way I am paying out of pocket for my braces since the plan I get though work does not cover adult braces insurance is not an issue.
Even cost is not all that much more for Invisaligns. I am just told that Invisaligns are a bit of a pain how you have to take them on an off just to eat anything. I can just see me forgetting them some where how bad would that be.. Metal braces are kind of ugly though and at 27 would I really look stupid or something? Which would be better to get?
Dental Health care, How Dental Insurance Works
Tuesday, Aug. 17th 2010 10:09 AM
A
dental insurance company usually pays between 50% – 80% of the family or individual dental office fees for a covered procedures; the remaining 20% – 50% is paid by the client. These plans often have a pre-determined or set deductible amount which varies from plan to plan. Indemnity insurance dental health care plans also can limit the amount of services covered within a given year and pay them based on a variety of fee schedules.
Dental Health care, Tongue piercing
Monday, Aug. 16th 2010 7:47 AM
I really want to get my tongue pierced when I turn 18 in a few months. This is something I always wanted to have done. My mom said she would not pay for me to do it and will not let me have my tongue pierced but she can not stop me once I turn 18.
The only thing I do worry about is that I have perfect teeth. My parents had me in braces when I was 12 so my teeth are are straight white and I do not have even one cavity. I was told that a tongue piercing can chip my teeth. I am not sure if the person who told me this was telling the truth or just saying that so I will not get my tongue pierced. Can you confirm this for me.
Dental Insurance Health and Vision plans.
Sunday, Aug. 15th 2010 8:34 AM
My question is why is it that dental and vision is separate from health insurance. Why can it not just be all one thing. That way when you get medical from your job it covers health, vision and dental. I mean in the end it is still all about your total over all health care. I do not get why you have two to three plans just to have the total package.
Dental Insurance coverages, Space maintainers
Saturday, Aug. 14th 2010 8:21 AM
I was told by the dentist due to the fact that my sons baby teeth had to be pulled a little sooner then they should he should get space maintainers so his adult teeth come in correctly. I was told when I got the dental plan I have now that they do not cover for braces. Is this the same thing? How would I know?

Dental Insurance Quote for coverages on braces
Thursday, Aug. 12th 2010 8:49 AM
I am 15 and I really need braces since I have crooked and somewhat gap teeth. I really hate my teeth but my mom does not get dental insurance though work and says she can not afford to get me braces.
Is there not anything I can do while I am still a minor to get braces. I thought they have special dental plans for minor that come from a low income household. Where are they so I can get my mom to let me have the braces I need.
Full coverage dental insurance needed for dentures.
Wednesday, Aug. 11th 2010 9:14 AM
I have had my denture for over seven years now and I just need to have new ones. At the time I had them I had dental insurance but there was no real reason for me to keep dental insurance when I had no teeth. So I cancelled my dental insurance not to long after getting dentures.
Any repairs I needed I just paid in full but my dentist that I been seeing stated that I really should be new dentures. Is there any dental insurance where I can get coverage for new dentures. I am not sure where to find something like that.
Detnal Insuracne Health Care, Tooth extraction
Tuesday, Aug. 10th 2010 8:06 AM
My daughter has three baby teeth that need be pulled. I can see the adult teeth starting to come in and the baby teeth are all lose but they are not coming out on their own like they should. I do not have what it takes to pull them out so I am going to take her to the dentist.
My question under my dental insurance plan how do I know what tooth extraction it would be. I thinking it should be the cheaper ones since they should be albe to just pull them out. How can I confirm so I do not go in thinking it is one thing then get hit by a much larger bill.

Monday, Aug. 9th 2010 7:22 AM
I have a small gap between my two top front teeth. The dentist I have been going to as not said anything to me about it. However don’t they have to fix it? I do not think they said anything to my mom either or she would have told me. How will the dentist fix my gap?
Oral surgery needed for dental health care

I need to have five really bad teeth pulled. I have dental insurance but since I just got it I found out that I can not have teeth pulled until I have the plan for one year. This was upsetting news to me and I am not sure what to do about it.
I can not complain about the dental insurance plan too much since my boyfriend is paying for it and he got it for me in order to help. I am just not sure if waiting 10 more months is going to make sense for me. Can anyone give me advise?

Dental insurance health care in Texas
Thursday, Aug. 5th 2010 10:48 AM
I live in Driftwood Texas and I am looking for dental insurance for my wife and I. We both need to have some general dental care. I just do not want to continue putting it off. Our health care is important to us but what good is it to take care of our bodies if we let our teeth decay.
I am just not sure what to get. We get our health from my job but not dental. How would dental insurance work for us and what is the best dental plan to get?
Increasing cost of dental health care, Need help
Wednesday, Aug. 4th 2010 9:38 AM
I have always gone to the dentist twice a year to get my check up and cleaning. The thing is my dentist use to only charge me $50.00 for a cleaning and $25.00 for X-rays when needed. Now that cost almost three times a much. It seems every time I go to the dental office they are charging me more. I called around thinking it was just them but it seems to be the going rate. I just do not get why having to have dental care is getting so costly and out of control. No wonder why people have bad teeth. They can not afford dental care.
Where can a low income person go to get good dental health care
Tuesday, Aug. 3rd 2010 9:18 AM
I am not working and been laid off for the past year. I have been living of my saving and what little help I get though unemployment. I have been starting to notice that my teeth seem to hurt on and off. Not all the time but I know I am really past the point of seeing a dentist. Where can I go for dental health care where having my teeth worked on will be free to me?
Dental Insurance health care plans, I need a good dental insurance plan out here in FL
Monday, Aug. 2nd 2010 8:13 AM
I live out here in FL and I am over 65 looking for a good dental insurance plan that does not beat me up for being older. I will not even buy a dental plan from a insurance company that is going to charge me more money and give me less in coverages just because I am older.
I am not trying to get health insurance that beets me up as it is. What dental plan treats older people the same as anyone else?
Dental health care, Topical fluoride treatment
Sunday, Aug. 1st 2010 8:07 AM
My three year old son when to the dentist for his regural dental check up. He has is first and hopefully last cavity. The dentist said it was very small and does not see the point in doing a filling yet. However he did suggest to get a topical fluoride treatment.
Which under my current dental plan that is free for children under thirteen. However I though having to much fluoride is bad for your teeth. I know they are only baby teeth so maybe that is why he suggest fluoride treatment. I told him I would talk it over with my husband and we would get back to him. Any one know anything about getting a fluoride treatment.
Dental Insurance, Getting dental braces in a month
Friday, Jul. 30th 2010 8:59 AM
My daughter is going to be getting dental braces in a month. She is not looking forward to that day by any means but does know she needs her teeth straighten. I told her she would be able to get color bands so she would like to know what is a good color to get. I think she can have up to two colors. This may seem like a silly question but anything to make her not hate getting the braces would be nice.
Dental health care, Wisdom teeth removal pain.
Thursday, Jul. 29th 2010 9:42 AM
I just had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday. Is it normal for my jaw to hurt this bad? I can hardly open my mouth. I have the taste of morning breath and blood in my mouth and it is making me sick. I can also feel the stitches and they seem like they keep poking me in my check.
I have been taking some of the pain killers they gave me but it only helps a little. This just seems like it too much. My dentist told me I would be feeling better in two to three days but I do not see that happening the way I feel now. Should I go back to the dentist to see if anything is infected or somethin?
