Dental health care is critical, but it’s also surprisingly easy to maintain. Simply brush your teeth at least twice a day, floss daily, and use tarter control and gum care mouthwash to ensure you do all you can for your oral health care. These simple, low-cost practices take very little time each day, putting you in control of your oral health.
The next step is to see a dentist at least twice a year for check-ups and cleanings. These regular visits not only help to prevent major dental issues but also allow for early detection of any potential problems, saving you both time and money in the long run. Cost can be a factor, but it does not have to be. One way to control dental costs is through a low-cost dental insurance plan. Many dental insurance plans offer free to low-cost preventive dental care. The money you spend on dental insurance is well worth it. And by seeing your dentist regularly, you will avoid any major dental issues. However, dental insurance will also help control your dental costs if you need more extensive dental services. Be thoughtful about your oral health and think ahead. Good dental care now makes for good dental care in the future.

I am so embarrassed to see the doctor or dentist about my bad breath issues but even so I do. My dentist tells me my teeth and gums are fine. I have no cavites or do I have any signs of gum disease. My doctor gave me a prescription for stronger mouth wash but it really did not help.
I brush my teeth and floss all the time two the four times a day but an hour after my breath is back to being bad. I tired of it and at lost to what to do.

A friend of my has very bad oral hygiene. I do not understand why it is he seems not to take basic care of his teeth. On top of it he is a smoker so he has bad breath. This is starting to become an issue with me because it is no fun hanging with someone that breath stinks.
Beside his teeth he is a nice guy so I like to get him to take better care of his oral health. Is there any good tips you can give to me on getting him to brush and floss better. I not sure if he even goes to the dentist. I either talk to him about this issue or I will start pulling back from our friendship. Before that happens I would like to at least address it with him.

How do I address this issue to my good friend. My friend oral hygiene is less to be desired. In fact it seems she dose not have any oral hygiene in place. I normally let this go since I feel it is not my place to tell her how to take care of herself.
The thing is her breath is really bad. I give her mints off handedly so that she does not think much of it. But other friends of ours have been making fun of her behind her back. I do not join in but can not really stand up for her either since they are right about her.
I feel bad but I also do not want to get involved. I guess my question is should I tell her she needs to start doing something about her yuck mouth? Or just do nothing ? I am at the point that I really do not want to hang with her that much any more but I know her for over ten years and she is a really nice person.
