Right now I am currently unemployed with no dental insurance benefits. My last job offer me dental so I was able to see the dentist two to three times a year. Now after being laid off for the past ten months I worried about my teeth care.
I get some help with my medical and I am looking for a job. Right now I just do odd jobs when I can for the extra money. I have not seen a dentist in over a year now since I do not have the extra money to pay cash for my dental care.
What can I do? My teeth are fine and I do take care of them but sometime if things go unchecked you start to have problems and I do not want to have bad teeth issues latter on just because I have no dental insurance to see a dentist.
Dental Health Care, Why is having dental work so expensive
Saturday, Nov. 27th 2010 7:28 PM
I do not get why dental services need to be so expensive. Having just gotten back from my dentist I was told I would need two root canals which will also need to be crowned.
I am one of the lucky few that does have some limited dental benefits though my employer. However, even with my having dental insurance my cost is going to be around $2000.00. I just feel this is highway robbery. It is costs like these that keep the middle class families from ever getting ahead. It not like we get anything for free and coming up with that kind of money all at once is a joke.

Where can I get a supplemental dental insurance plan. Right now I have a Delta dental PPO plan though my employment. Washington DC dental insurance, No more dental benefits though my job.
Sunday, Nov. 21st 2010 8:05 AM
Our office was just advise that starting Jan when our medical plan roll over we will no longer be getting dental insurance. It was stated that with the cost of insurance going up having the dental benefits too was to costly.
I did not know that your job could drop the dental benefits like that. I am upset because I did use the dental plan in order to maintain good oral health. Having the twice a year cleanings and checkups along with X-rays was always free to me under our plan but without it the dental office would charge me over $200.00. Now what can I do to help not have to pay so much for dental care?

Saturday, Nov. 20th 2010 10:05 AM
I added our daughter to our medical insurance a month before she was born. However I have yet to add her to my dental insurance. I am not sure if I should have her added to our dental policy when the renewal comes up this next March, or if I should add her now.
Right now it is just my husband and I on our dental plan. Will adding my daughter really make the price go up that much more? Should I wait until my daughter has all her teeth before I start to worry about her having dental insurance?

Being self employed I have to get my own dental and health insurance plan for my family. The issue I am coming across is that I have found a good health insurance plan that I am willing to get since it is within my budget but it does not offer dental insurance.
I would like to get a dental plan that does not have any max limitations or have me waiting for coverages to be effect for a year or more. I can not seem to find something like this when reviewing dental insurance plans. Can you offer me anything that will fit my family dental needs.
Rhode Island dental health insurance plan
Thursday, Nov. 18th 2010 9:33 AM
I am looking for a low cost dental insurance plan in Rhode Island for my daughter who is six. My daughter is missing a tooth and the dentist as told her that it looks like she will not be getting in her adult tooth for some time yet.
I was informed that she will need to have a space maintainer put in and it is possible that she may need to have braces put on once all her adult teeth come in. You can see where her dental cost are getting higher each time we talk to the dentist. We been paying out of pocket for her dental care up until now but know that getting some dental insurance now just in case may be the best idea. Can you advise of a low cost plan that will offer some braces coverages in case my daughter needs to have them.
Dental and health Insuance, Why is dental separate from health
Wednesday, Nov. 17th 2010 3:58 PM
I do not have a full understanding as to why dental would be separate from your health care. If time and time again doctors tell you having bad teeth can cause you to have major health issues then why can’t your medical cover you dental needs. I find this a load of do do. I have medical though my job but I have nothing for my teeth really want is up with that?

Or many it does but I am just not finding where it show it. How will I know for sure I want both dental and health insurance.

I thinking this may be a good way to go I just not 100% sure on how to go about finding a good dentist.
