Dental Insurance Health care, Looking for dental coverage

Sunday, Jul. 11th 2010 9:23 AM

I am new to having to get dental insurance on my own.  I turned 20 two months ago and my mom told me that her dental plan will no longer cover me since I am not a full time student.   I go to school part time but work full time.

I will have medical insurance with my job in another two months when the enrollment comes up but I am told that they do not offer dental.  What type of dental insurance should I be buying for myself?  I really only go for my twice a year check up and cleaning.  Never had anything  major going on with my teeth so far.  Can you advise what would be the best plan for me to get?

Dental health care, bad toothache need dental health care

Saturday, Jul. 10th 2010 6:45 AM

I have a bad toothache.  I called a few local dentist in my area and was told I could have go to them but without insurance I may be having a big bill.  They told me normally by the time you start to feel pain you will need to have major dental work done on that tooth.

So I was told that I would be better off finding dental insurance before having my tooth fixed.  Okay but I need a plan that start almost from the time I sign up for it.  I can not deal long with this  toothache what should I be looking for?

So if we are going to get free medical will that be including dental?  I would love just a having my  monthly dental rate go down o $34.00 say half of what I am paying now. California Dental Insurance, What is an estimated cost for dental care

Tuesday, Jul. 6th 2010 10:23 AM

I am a part time student and part time worker.  I do not have any dental insurance and need to have an estimated cost idea for dental services.  Need dental help ASAP since I am in pain.

Two of my back molars are killing me.  One of the molars has a really bad cavity. The other molar  filling came out three weeks ago and is now causing me to have dental pain in that tooth as well.

The pain is really effective my daily life at school and at home.  The pain goes from the side of my face up to my head.  Forget about eating anything that is not very soft.   I know I need some major dental care.

This is effecting my confidence and is ruining my life.  I need help in finding cheap dental insurance and a low cost dental office and a ways to go about  paying for my dental services.  I would love an idea of  how much all this would cost me.  Thanks

Dental Insurance Health Care, Does Obama health care reform includes dental

Monday, Jul. 5th 2010 8:08 AM

So what I am wanting to know is if Obama health care includes dental care too.  I have not seen a dentist in years just because it was always too expensive for me to go.  However if Obama’s health care is going to offer free dental services as well as health I will be able to see the dentist.

I would love to go to the dentist since I know I need dental work done.  If Obama’s health care offers dental I will finally get the dental help I need once the health plan for starts in.

Dental Health Care, Dental care with no dental insurance

Sunday, Jul. 4th 2010 7:48 AM

My fiance has been in very bad pain due to a rotten tooth that broke four days ago.  He went to the hospital which gave him some pain killers and antibiotics but that is all.  They told him to have the tooth pulled of fixed he will need to see a dentist.

So he does not have tooth pain while he takes the pain killers but he does not have dental insurance to fix the tooth.  Without dental insurance he is worried that it would be to pricey to have his tooth fixed.

We are not sure what to do to get his tooth fixed.  We really need low cost dental care but we do not want to just go to any cheep dentist if they do not do good dental work.  Please help

Dental Health care, Missing tooth clause need help

Saturday, Jul. 3rd 2010 9:29 AM

Hello all,  I need your help.  I am a Army Vet and although I get some dental insurance coverages though the Vet Affairs dental reimbursement program.  I am having a hard time getting any help for my missing tooth and the dental implant I need.

The costs for the dental implant exceeds their fee schedule so I am not going to get anything reimbursed to me.  I have been fighting this for over a year and know I am going no where with it.

I tried looking for dental insurance that I could get on my own but they have a missing tooth clause that I fall under so I can not be covered for my implant though another dental insurance company.

What do I have to do go to Mexico to get my dental needs at a reasonable cost to me?   If you have any good advise or suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks

Dental Insruance Health Care plans, No dental insurance need help

Friday, Jul. 2nd 2010 8:21 AM

I have a dear friend that really needs dental health care.  The problem is she does not have dental insurance though her work since she only works about 25 hours a week.  She tried getting a payment plan at the dental office but her credit is not good enough for them to offer her a payment plan.

Her teeth are in really bad shape and they hurt her once in a while. I told her she could go to the hospital for emergency care but all they do is give her something for the pain and tell her to see a dentist.  This is making her so sad and it makes me really sad for her please advise if there is anything she could do to get some dental help.   Out her in Dallas Texas.

Dental Health Care, Full mouth implants needed.

Thursday, Jul. 1st 2010 10:12 AM

Any one know of about how much it would cost to get a full mouth worth of dental implants?  My husband had dentures top and bottom right now but seems to always have problems with them.  He would like to get full implants.

However, we do not have insurance that would cover him getting implants.  Is there anything I could get that will help us with the cost of implants?  If so about how much?  I am thinking we may not be able to afford him getting implants even though I would like him to have them if we could.

Dental Health, Why is dental care so expensive

Wednesday, Jun. 30th 2010 9:59 AM

I do not understand why dental services need to be so expensive.  I just got back from my dentist yesterday and was told that I would need two root canals.  I would also need to have the two teeth crowned as well.

I am lucky that at least I have dental insurance with my job. However even with that my cost is going to be almost $2000.  I just feel this is highway robbery.  It is costs like these that keep the middle class families from ever getting ahead.

Do bites correct faster with your wisdom teeth out?

Tuesday, Jun. 29th 2010 7:57 AM

If your orthodontist is advising you to get them pulled asap, maybe it is because they are currently doing damage to your other teeth (making them crooked) or they will do damage to your teeth.

If you are not 100% clear on why your orthodontist is saying to have them pulled. Then asked them. Getting them out may not make anything faster but will prevent problems with your teeth while you are in braces and after they are removed.

Hope this has helped

Do orange peels or banana peels whiten teeth?

Monday, Jun. 28th 2010 7:56 AM

All the researched I have put into this question and questions like this seems to me comes down to this. Although all the home remedies that are listed may help to whiten your teeth only a dentist can get your teeth the whitest.

Here are some suggested home remedy that may help to whiten your teeth.

1)Brushing with Lemon Juice
2)Brushing with Baking Soda
3)Brushing with Hydrogen Peroxide
4)Brushing with Salt
5)Rubbing Strawberries on your teeth then Brushing off.
6) Orange Peels
7) Banana Peels

All though the above may help whiten your teeth they can do damage as well. They contain sugar and acids and are abrasive, all of which can damaged your enamel that helps protects your teeth

I can understand with all that been said that many people can not afford to go to the dentist to whiten their teeth. I would advise if you are going to try any home remedy to understand that you run the risk of doing more damage to your teeth in the along run.

Trying looking into some of the over counter products that are not so costly. Like tooth paste with whiting, mouth wash with whiting, gum with whiting. Maybe even just speak to your dentist and get advise on what he/she may advise for you. A good dentist will advise you on what you can use to help whiten your teeth. They may still tell you only they can do it the best (which would be true) but they still will tell you other ways if asked.

I hope this has helped you

How much are tooth extractions

Sunday, Jun. 27th 2010 6:55 AM

I always recommend you to speak to the dentist that is doing the work and ask him/her any questions you may have before and after. Not only does that help you in understanding what is expected from you but helps the dentist in treating you. They normally will give you some type of care instructions that they feel is right for you

I hope this has help you.

How much does a Panorex X-ray cost?

Saturday, Jun. 26th 2010 6:54 PM

The cost is going to depend on the type of Insurance Plan you have. Sometimes the cost of X-rays for Orthodontic treatment is not covered at all so you need to review your plan benefits. If you do not have Insurance then the cost of any X-rays would depend on what the dentist is charging. Dentist to dentist cost varies and would be hard to say what one charges and why. That would be something you would need to shop out.

If you are looking for a discount plan to help off set the cost of your orthodontic treatment most discount plans will save you about 20% for that type of service. You do need to go to a dentist in their network. There is no out side network so if you are trying to stay with a current dentist make sure they are in the plan before buying one.

I have listed a good web site for dental insurance and dental discount plans. I hope you can find what you need.

Dental Indemnity Insurance Plans and Dental PPO Insurance

Wednesday, Jun. 23rd 2010 7:14 AM

I have to pick between an dental Indemnity plan and a PPO dental Insurance plan.  My work has both as a choice but I am not sure what the difference is.  They seen the same to me.  My work friend either will let me choice my own dentist which is really all I care about.

Since my job is paying for  most of the cost I can go either way.  Is there a difference between the two that  I should know?  Thank

Dental Health Insurance with Vision

Tuesday, Jun. 22nd 2010 3:25 PM

I am looking for dental insurance with at least some vision coverages.  I have good teeth and just need something in place to maintain my oral health care.  I wear glasses so it be nice to have a vision plan that could help with the cost of my frames and lenses.   What should I be looking for?  Most plans I see are dental only.
