Dental Insurance Health Care on Dental discount plans in California.

Sunday, Jun. 17th 2012 9:57 AM

We offer dental discount plans though Aetna,  Careington and New Dental Choice. Dental discount plans are a good low cost dental plan option.  They do not have many of the limitations that many dental insurance plans may come with.

Many of our dental discount plans start within the next business day of your on line enrollment. Which is very good for those people that are in dental pain since they can see a dentist right away.  Dental discount plans are not for everyone.  But they are a good way to reduce all your dental needs at a very affordable cost.

When deciding between dental discount plans carefully review their fee schedules.  The fee schedules show the discount prices on what you pay for each dental service listed.  You also want to make sure there is a dentist in the dental plan you want to go to.  Since there is no outside network benefits. I suggest calling the dentist listed and confirming they are still accepting the plan as well as new members.

Dental Health Care, Tooth sensitively after having a dental filling.

Friday, Jun. 1st 2012 10:34 AM

For some people their tooth can become sensitive for a days  after having a filling. There are many reason why this can happen but the most common reason is that part of the tooth and all of the dental decay must be removed for a filling to be placed. In some cases, this procedure can cause sensitivity in the tooth. As a general rule, the deeper the cavity and closer to the tooth nerve, the more likely there will be discomfort after the dental procedure.  If the pain last for over a week it is advise to go back to the dentist to have the tooth re-evaluated.

Thursday, May. 31st 2012 9:30 AM

There are much better ways of delivering fluoride then having it added to city drinking water.  The fact is the vast majority of fluoride added to water supplies is wasted.  Over 99% of tap water is not actually consumed by a human being. It is used instead to wash cars, water the lawn, wash dishes, flush toilets, You pet drinking water and so on.

Dental Health Care, Fluoridated water has minimal benefits.

Tuesday, May. 29th 2012 8:03 AM

When water fluoridation began back in the 1940s and 50s, dentists believed that fluoride needed to be swallowed in order to be most effective. This belief, however, has now been discredited by an extensive research.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, fluoride’s predominant effect is posteruptive and topical. This means any benefits that accrue from the use of fluoride, come from the direct application of fluoride to the outside of teeth, and not from ingestion. There is no need, therefore, to expose all other tissues to fluoride by swallowing it

Sunday, May. 13th 2012 10:54 AM

Because of a recent job change I no longer have dental insurance.  It is very important that I maintain dental insurance and dental care for my over all  health care needs.  I am living with diabetes and because of my diabetes I have dental problems that always  need to be address.

I have problems mostly with my gums but I also get many cavities due to being a diabetic.  I have to see my dentist every three months just so I can keep my teeth in good shape.  So I would like to know if getting dental insurance is going to be a problem with having diabetes?

Also I do not want to change dentist since mine knows about my diabetes and I like the way he takes care of me.  I do not know where to look for dental insurance and I want to make sure I will be covered for my future dental needs
